Verify the centre and professional

TSSF provides e-Devlet services for checking diver, instructor and guide certificates and for checking authorised diving centres and instructors. Use the identity of the centre that will actually conduct the dive—not only the marketplace or hotel selling the product.

Certification is not the whole suitability test

A card alone does not prove that a diver is ready for a specific wreck, current, depth, cave-like environment or difficult entry. The centre should consider certification, logged and recent dives, conditions, equipment familiarity and the planned task load.

The official material references the Dakota artificial reef at about 22 m and much deeper experienced-diver sites such as Uçanbalık.

Region 2 — Ayvalık

Ayvalık combines many island sites with red-coral, reef and wall diving. Official sources describe Gavur Limanı at İlyosta as extending from about 3 to 35 m and suitable for different experience levels, while Deli Mehmet 1 and 2 extend to 70 m and contain zones intended for intermediate, advanced or professional divers.
