7-Day Fethiye & Kaş Itinerary 2026

Tandem paragliders soaring over the turquoise sea, islands and coastline of Ölüdeniz at golden hour, Turkey

A realistic seven-day Fethiye–Kaş trip should use two bases, one dedicated transfer block and no more than three condition-sensitive headline activities. The strongest structure is four nights around Fethiye–Ölüdeniz and three nights in Kaş.

This itinerary assumes seven nights or roughly eight calendar days. With only six nights, remove one major activity rather than compressing the transfer or placing every activity on consecutive days.

Route summary

DayBase and main planCondition buffer
1Fethiye / Ölüdeniz — arrival, hotel check-in and low-intensity orientationNo fixed headline activity after travel
2Fethiye / Ölüdeniz — paragliding priority or flexible coast dayDay 3 remains a backup
3Fethiye / Ölüdeniz — boat trip or paragliding backupChoose route by departure harbour and sea conditions
4Fethiye / Ölüdeniz — Saklıkent or lower-intensity regional dayVerify water level, route and access
5Kaş — Fethiye–Kaş transfer and town orientationNo dive or long kayak immediately after transfer
6Kaş — discovery/certified diving or Kekova kayakingDay 7 can absorb a weather or sea change
7Kaş — second specialist activity or flexible coast dayKeep departure logistics separate where possible

Day 1 — Arrive and reduce risk

Use the arrival day for hotel check-in, beach or town orientation, booking confirmation and transport checks. Do not place paragliding or a long boat product immediately after a flight and airport transfer.

  • Confirm whether your hotel is in Fethiye town, Çalış, Hisarönü, Ovacık or Ölüdeniz.
  • Confirm the paragliding meeting point and boat departure harbour.
  • Check the latest condition messages.
  • Keep dinner and the evening close to the hotel.

Day 2 — Ölüdeniz paragliding priority

Place paragliding early in the Fethiye stay because the pilot or company may change the launch time or postpone the flight. Keep the rest of the day flexible rather than linking the advertised return directly to a fixed excursion.

  • Verify the company and assigned pilot.
  • Confirm passenger rules, mountain access and media charges.
  • Agree on aerobatics before takeoff.
  • Use the beach or town as the low-risk alternative if the flight moves.

Day 3 — Choose the correct boat route

Choose between the Fethiye–Göcek 12 Islands route and the Ölüdeniz–Butterfly Valley route based on the actual hotel, harbour and desired coast—not only the most famous title.

  • Fethiye 12 Islands: sheltered gulf, repeated swimming and Fethiye-harbour convenience.
  • Butterfly Valley route: dramatic open coast and named-destination priority.
  • Private boat: stronger when capacity, noise, accessibility or route control matters.

If paragliding moved from Day 2, use Day 3 as the flight backup and shift the boat day to Day 4 or remove one activity.

Day 4 — Saklıkent or flexible regional day

Use Saklıkent only after identifying the exact product. The initial park walkway, gorge walking, tubing or rafting activity and specialist canyoning are not equivalent.

  • Check recent rain, water level and current route access.
  • Confirm footwear, equipment and cold-water exposure.
  • Use a lower-intensity Fethiye or beach day when the group needs recovery.
  • Avoid turning Day 4 into a late-night activity before the Kaş transfer.

Day 5 — Transfer to Kaş

Current public transport information shows the Fethiye–Kaş road connection at roughly 102–113 kilometres. A direct bus can be scheduled from about 1 hour 45 minutes, while official destination information gives about 2½ hours. Plan more time door to door for hotel checkout, bus stations, waiting, traffic and Kaş hotel transfer.

Private transferDoor-to-door and easier with family or dive luggageHigher per-vehicle cost
Rental carRoute flexibility and stopsParking, one-way fee, driving and insurance

Use the afternoon for Kaş town, harbour and booking checks. Do not schedule a dive immediately after uncertain road travel.

Day 6 — Kaş diving or Kekova kayaking

Option A: scuba diving

  • Discovery dive for a non-certified participant.
  • Certified boat diving only when qualification and recent experience match the site.
  • Confirm TSSF centre/professional information, medical screening, equipment, boat and emergency plan.

Option B: Kekova sea kayaking

  • Confirm the launch point—often Üçağız rather than Kaş town.
  • Check total paddling distance, transfer, guide, kayak type and rescue plan.
  • Plan for sun, heat, wind and swimming or capsize requirements.

Day 7 — Second activity or flexible Kaş day

Use Day 7 for the second Kaş activity only when the group has enough energy and departure is not tightly scheduled. Otherwise choose beaches, town, a short boat product or a relaxed day.

  • If Day 6 was diving, Day 7 can be kayaking only when the provider and traveler consider the schedule appropriate.
  • If Day 6 was kayaking, Day 7 can be a discovery or certified dive after medical and qualification checks.
  • If sea conditions disrupt Day 6, use Day 7 as the backup.
  • Avoid placing a water activity immediately before a long airport transfer when the return time is uncertain.

Budget structure

  • Four Fethiye-area room nights
  • Three Kaş-area room nights
  • Dalaman arrival or regional access
  • Fethiye–Kaş bus, car or private transfer
  • Paragliding, boat and Saklıkent selections
  • Diving or kayaking—and a second product only if the itinerary permits
  • Meals, local transport, equipment, media and entrances
  • 10–15% contingency

Use the Cost Guide and separate per-person products from per-boat, per-vehicle, per-dive and per-room prices.

What to remove when the trip is too busy

  1. Remove the second Kaş specialist activity.
  2. Choose either paragliding or the boat day—not both—when flight conditions move.
  3. Replace Saklıkent with a low-intensity regional day.
  4. Do not remove the transfer buffer or compress departure logistics.

Who should extend to 9–10 days?

  • Travelers who want both diving and kayaking in Kaş.
  • Families or mixed groups that need recovery and opt-out days.
  • Travelers using public transport with fixed schedules.
  • Anyone who wants both major Fethiye boat and paragliding products with condition flexibility.
  • Travelers continuing onward to Antalya or Pamukkale.

Choose where diving belongs in the route

Use Fethiye for an add-on discovery or certified boat day. Preserve Kaş for a broader multi-day dive focus and level-matched site progression.
