Erciyes Ski & Snowboard Guide 2026–27: Gates, Pistes, Snowmaking & Kayseri Logistics

Erciyes is the strongest XPTurk starting point for travellers who want a large integrated ski network, several mountain access gates, strong technical snowmaking and a trip that can be based either on the mountain or in Kayseri.

The official Erciyes site currently describes 41 slopes totalling 112 km, 18 modern mechanical facilities and 154 snow machines. Treat those as resort-scale indicators, not a promise that every slope and lift will operate on your date.

The four gate decision

Erciyes is organised around multiple access sectors including Develi Kapı, Tekir Kapı, Hisarcık Kapı and Hacılar Kapı. The correct gate depends on your hotel, lesson, open lifts, preferred terrain and return plan.

• Do not choose a gate only from the map. Check which lifts and connecting pistes are open that morning.
• Lesson day: confirm the instructor’s meeting gate before arranging transport or rental.
• Mixed group: choose a common lunch/meeting point and know which connections close earlier.
• Late day: return toward your starting gate before interconnection lifts begin closing.

Official season framework

Erciyes’ published general rules state a nominal winter season from December 1 to April 30, while explicitly noting that dates can vary with precipitation and artificial snowmaking. This is a planning framework, not a guarantee for a specific piste.

Snowmaking advantage—and its limit

Erciyes publishes one of the strongest snowmaking systems in Türkiye. That can protect selected lower and main pistes in marginal natural-snow periods. It cannot solve high wind, poor visibility, unsafe upper-mountain conditions, lift faults or a closed connection between sectors.

Night skiing

The official resort states that night skiing is offered on the illuminated Tekir Gate piste 13 on Friday and Saturday nights during the season and every evening during the semester period, subject to weather and operating decisions. Verify the specific date before building dinner or transfer plans around it.

Lesson and rental checks

1. Confirm ski or snowboard lesson.
2. Ask the school/instructor for the current teaching credential they operate under.
3. Confirm gate and exact meeting point.
4. Ask whether lift access is included in the lesson.
5. Reserve child boot/helmet sizes early in peak periods.
6. Check whether rental is full-day, calendar-day or tied to lift hours.
7. Inspect boot fit before leaving the shop; poor fit can ruin the ski day.

• Check upper-mountain wind and visibility, not only city weather.
• Before skiing to another gate, confirm the return connection is operating.

2026–27 price rule

Use the official 2026–27 tariff once released. Separate lift-pass cost from equipment, helmet, clothing, lesson, locker, parking, transfer and night-ski products. Do not multiply a one-ride ticket as though it were a day pass or assume a hotel package includes skiing.
